I LOVE my FitBit!

I have the FitBit One that tracks my activity and my sleep. I like it because I can clip it to my bra and forget it, but there are different styles that clip-on, wristband… you name it.

It helps me hold myself accountable for my physical activity.  One of the most shocking revelations when I got my first pedometer… I knew I didn’t do that much, but I was absolutely stunned when my first day I did less than 1,400 steps.  Huh?  How can that be?  I literally was going from my bed to my desk to the table to the bathroom and back to bed to start the process all over again.  Fitbit wireless activity + sleep trackers

I don’t do marathons, half-marathons or “fun-runs”. I don’t have a membership at the gym. I focus on increasing my daily physical activity within the parameters of where I live and how I live. That means literally getting up from my desk at least a couple of times an hour. I usually walk into the dining room where I have a container of water set up for my daily hydration. My daily goal is 10,000 steps.

The Fitbit app is great and allows me to not only get reports and follow my activity in detail, I can get involved with friends who share my commitment to a healthier lifestyle. We keep each other motivated. Yes, there are days that the only reason I get off the couch and get in those extra 500 steps to reach my 10,000 step goal is so that my friends will see I “walk the walk”.
