Why not me? When Karen got breast cancer, it was a shock. Karen has always been the one who made the healthy choices...

Karen completed her chemo and radiation and began questioning her doctors on what they would suggest regarding rebuilding her health. Especially, anyt suggestions on cleansing her body of the toxicity of the chemo. They basically said to "Eat a good diet." Karen started in earnest to research nutrition and the role it plays in recovering from cancer. Enter "Shaklee".

I started becoming more aware of my nutritional needs, but didn't take the time to really commit to a personal nutrition program. I abused my mind and body by not to eating right, exercising or getting enough sleep.

In 1996, I began experiencing some medical problems, and by 2002 was in trouble. One doctor thought I had Myasenthia Gravis, another thought it was Multiple Sclerosis. The pain in my feet and hands was unbearable, and it finally had effected my ability to walk. After years of tests and dead ends, a neurologist found the answer. I have an autoimmune disorder called "Anti-Mag Antibodies". It means my body produces antibodies that attack the myelin sheath which surrounds the nerves throughout the body. So, the good news is that there was a diagnosis, but no real treatments.

I did try some pharmaceuticals as "experimental and off-label" approaches, but none really made a difference. I finally realized II was going to end up totally disabled if I didn't find something. I started a supplement regimen with Shaklee products.
